My favorite music styles are Rock, Hard Rock and Country, or almost everything which contents some good guitar riffs. My so called idol is John Petrucci, the guitarist of the band Dream Theater. You can see a picture taken of him and me on the concert in Pétange (Luxembourg) the 4th November 2002 in my exclusive gallery.

"Music was my first love... and it will be my last" - John Miles.

Even if it’s almost the best music to dance on, I’m not a huge Hip hop or “gangsta rap” fan. The lyrics of some songs are the proof of their author's and audience's intelligence (celebrating violence, killing, rape, drugs, prostitution, resistance against public forces, public enemies and so on...).

I began to play the keyboard when I was 3. Later I went to a private organ school, and a few years later I learned piano at the Conservatoire de musique Luxembourg for 2,5 years.

At 11 or 12 years I got my first electric guitar (I already had a cheap acoustic one some years before). I started to play in the choir of our school at the age of 16 or 17. Then later the school band was founded where I stopped April 2002 because it really sucked. I already played live in school, Luxembourg's cathedral and some other places.

Then I played in a live cover band called "Most Wanted", which I started with the bassist and drummer of the school band 2001. As the lineup always changed because of unmotivated musicians, I stopped the project. I also played on rehearsals in the rock band "Average" and in a gothic rock band which hadn't a name yet, but I had to stop twice due to a tendinitis in my lower right arm.

I began to play some songs for a half year (St. Sylvester 2004 'til end of June 2005) in a famous and popular live cover band from Luxembourg called Lifestyle. I was also guest guitarist with the live cover band Wallstreet, known in Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany. 2007 I had the opportunity to play with one of the most booked cover bands in Luxembourg called Diesel on Tour.

For the moment I don't play anything at all... I'm too busy in the gym :) A special thanks flies out to Michel VOLKMANN who teached me almost everything I know on the guitar!

I also DJ'ed in clubs and public parties (mostly house music), on weddings and private parties, but I don't think that such a thing is doing real music... Some references are: XS (former Blow up), Melusina, Atelier, Cafe de la Gare (now Byblos), and some Codex events (mostly hard techno parties where I did the warm-up and afterwards only the lightshow)...

By the way I thought about having "Oliver Jay" as my artist name...

Since I've been working out more serious, I don't have too much time to play the guitar anymore...
